Feedwater recirculation valve seat at a thermal power plant

The presentation reports 16 months of continuous operation and no maintenance during the reported run, replacing the previous repeated-maintenance pattern.

Operating conditions and original problem

High differential pressure caused cavitation in a feedwater-pump recirculation valve. Maintenance was required 2–3 times a year, with reported downtime losses of CNY 500,000 per day.

Technical approach

Variable-section channels distribute pressure reduction. Abrasive-flow polishing finishes the internal surface to Ra ≤1.6 μm, supported by reverse scanning for replacement.
