Inconel 625 choke cage for an oilfield injection well

The presentation reports 16 months of continuous operation, a threefold service-life improvement and annual total-cost savings of CNY 1.14 million.

Operating conditions and original problem

H₂S / CO₂ exposure and sand erosion limited the original injection-well choke cage to 3–5 months of service.

Technical approach

SLM in Inconel 625 combines a self-cleaning sloped floor and 45° spiral serrations to support particle removal, with documented inspection.
